GET CONNECTED

The Massachusetts Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Partnership is leading what the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has described as a "trailblazing" effort. New approaches to prevention are being evaluated in three selected Massachusetts communities – Gloucester, Newton, and the 9-town region of North Quabbin. In collaboration with the Massachusetts Partnership, a broad range of local organizations in these communities are leading the way in efforts to prevent child sexual abuse. These organizations and those who lead them represent the best of what our state has to offer – deep dedication to children and their well-being and thecourage to find effective strategies to solve a complex and challenging problem. The Partnership is convinced that lessons learned during this pilot effort will improve the protection of children not only in these 3 sites, but also in communities all across our state and nation.

The University of Massachusetts Poll and Massachusetts Kids Count conducted a public opinion survey in late September in the three selected communities. The highlights of their findings are summarized in the PDF below.
