Child Sexual Abuse and Public Opinion in Massachusetts

What is the public’s current understanding about child sexual abuse? In order to ground our future work, in 2003 the Massachusetts Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Partnership collaborated with the University of Massachusetts Poll and Massachusetts Kids Count on a statewide Random Digit Dial Survey of 325 Massachusetts citizens. The findings of the study are summarized in the PDF below.

A similar survey was conducted in late September 2003 in the three Massachusetts communities, Gloucester, Newton, North Quabbin, that are pilot sites for the CDC Prevention Initiative.
