THE
PARTNERSHIP
The
Massachusetts Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Partnership
is leading what the U.S. Centers for Disease Control
and Prevention (CDC) calls a "trailblazing"
effort. New approaches to prevention have will be
evaluated in three selected communities – Gloucester,
Newton, North Quabbin – in Massachusetts. In
collaboration with community child sexual abuse organizations,
the Partnership will educate parents, community adults
and professionals about the latest prevention strategies.
They will learn to recognize the signs of sexually
abusive behavior, as well as develop the confidence
and skills they need to stop it. If you don’t
live in one of these communities, you can find statewide
resources in Get Help.
Spread
the Word
You can spread the word in any number of ways. Talk to other
parents and concerned adults about the child sexual abuse
and the Enough Abuse Campaign. Get them to attend a training
session with you on how you can all help prevent child sexual
abuse in your community.
Bookmark the website. Forward it to a parent. Sign-up for
the e-mail newsletter. Hang a poster. Distribute flyers. Come
up with your own ideas.
